It has been revealed in a recent report that the new option of automatic friend request that has recently been installed in Facebook is not very liked by the users. People used to be hooked on to the site in the recent past, but changes made by the site recently have caused a lot of trouble for the users.
With the upcoming competitions that the hit social networking site is facing these days, Facebook team is trying its best to keep the site new and exciting for the users. They are continuously adding new features to the site.
This new addition feature sees sending friend requests on its own and this is something people are not very happy with. They are of the view that it is sending requests to people they even want to avoid. This is why people are sending internet forums which are of the view that this is an absolute invasion of personal choices and that this feature should be removed immediately.
"Verified email addresses sell for 20c to one dollar each so if they are able to extract 100,000 verified email addresses from Facebook that is probably worth upwards of 20,000 dollars to spammers", said Nik Cubrilovic, technology blogger.
Friends' requests are personal choices and should be made by people on their own. Many users are of the view that this is a breach of personal choices and should be stopped. They are of the view that this option should be withdrawn as soon as possible.
With the other sites like Twitter and Google+ coming in the social networking scene, there is need for Facebook to work according to the needs and choices of people, rather than making its own applications make choices for them. This is the only way in which it can keep up its position.
