Officejet Pro 8500 series printers are now available in Canadian stores. HP's website www.hp.com lists three printers in this series. Designed for small and micro businesses, they are all-in-one inkjet printers that work with a wide range of computers and operating systems.

HP is playing up "green IT" in promoting the Officejet Pro 8500 series. HP's website says the amount of energy used by the printers in creating colour documents is up to 50 percent less than that used by colour laser devices. (HP itself offers a line of Color LaserJet printers.)
According to the website, Officejet printers are Energy Star® qualified, help save paper, and reduce the environmental impact of businesses. Now available in Canadian stores-HP Officejet Pro 8500 series printers are now being sold in Canada by electronic retailers. One of the three products in the new series can be used without a cable. Dubbed the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless, it is available at Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) stores, including several in Toronto. This information was obtained from the company's Canadian website. The printer can also be purchased from the website itself for C$499.99 (US$424.11).
The Canadian website of Future Shop is selling the wireless version for the same price, but does not indicate whether the device is currently available in its Toronto stores. (Future Shop stores operate as a division of Best Buy Canada Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Best Buy Co., Inc.)
